Part 2

The Verbs Making/Doing and Having with Weather Nouns

Most Spanish verbs have verb-tense forms that correspond well to English in meaning and in use.

This practice will be more challenging, as this correspondence breaks down a bit for these two particular verbs.

To bridge the different ways Spanish and English express the same idea, at times we'll translate the Spanish verb "has" as "there is".

And to fill the gaps in the forms of the English verb "being", we'll use two forms that should exist but don't: "does be" and "did be".

The notes in the app are extensive and can be confusing upon the first read.

Determining Adjectives - Singular & Plural

How many? - Group #2

how many... ?, many..., so many..., too many...,

how much... ?, much..., so much..., too much...,

various..., sufficient..., quite a few...

Remember that sometimes we count, and sometimes we measure.

Note the difference between "how many?" and "how much?" or between "so many" and "so much", etc.

If we count, plural makes sense:

· too many coffees

· too many cheeses

If we measure, singular makes sense:

· too much coffee

· too much cheese

On this page, you'll learn how Spanish shows this difference.
